The history of the Digital Technology Group goes back to 1984 with the commencement of business, as consultants to in-hotel entertainment companies, trading as Harold A. Brown & Associates.

With the advent of PayTV the company branched out into set-top boxes, advising both manufacturers and users.

When Australian satellite transmissions commenced we also branched into the manufacture of satellite antennas, supplying 'Sky Channel', nationally, under the name of Satellite Communications International.

When digital technology was introduced into satellite transmissions and PayTV a new identity was formed named Digital Technologies Group. This company performed as consultants to the industry and soon was advising prominent organisations including Telstra, the Australian national telecom company.

With connections to many U.S., European and Asian organisations we receive continuously upgraded information daily. In order to accomplish some public service we commenced a free service, the Digital Technology Group, through Yahoo groups.

After six years of operation we have an International membership from most continents. In order to give members easy access to the latest information, we are moving to the Internet on four websites (yet unfinished):-

Members will have access to all sites as they have communal links. There will be some advertising to defray expenses but, as always, membership is free.
